AyurVijnana Vol. 3, Autumn 1997The second volume was prepared by January 1997, but got held up in Boston in the lay-out stage for six months. Finally, two beautiful copies reached us, but for not more than the ITTM archives as the announced seminars had already taken place. spite of this unfortunate delay we thank Egami Design Studio, Boston, MA, USA, for an exceptionally beautiful and honorary contribution to the history of AyurVijnana! Those articles from Volume II that are still of relevance are published in the present issue.
By now it is August ’97 and ITTM is coming out with two publications at a time: The Annual Report (1.6.1996 – 1.7.1997) for those with interest in the Trust's activities, and AyurVijnana Volume III, a periodical, publishing news and articles on Indo-Tibetan Medicine. Both publications are circulated privately and free of cost.
But for the generous support of our well-wishers in Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Sikkim this publication of AyurVijnana would not have been possible. As we wish to avoid the stupendous job of collecting subscription and membership fees from all or the world, including sending reminder letters, etc., we would prefer and welcome your individual contribution!
In spite of all hurdles and difficulties which occurred during the preparation of this present issue we intend to regularly create a forum for interesting, controversial & thought provoking news and research articles on traditional medical cultures , especially on those that are related to the Himalayan region.
Contributions in the form
of book reviews, articles, reports, news items, etc., may be mailed to:
The Editor, AyurVijnana, ITTM, Madhuban,

or e-mailed to: Contact Us
As we are periodically experiencing technical problems in Kalimpong with e-mail we request you to send a copy of your letter/article by mail, in case you do not receive an acknowledgment to your e-mail within 10 days.
I wish to thank all friends, well-wishers and colleagues who have been supporting the activities of the Trust as well as me personally, since the ITTM inauguration in June 1996!
We remember our friend and Trustee, (Late) Asanga Machwe, who passed away one month after the inauguration, on July 2, 1996, with gratitude and all the teachings that his death has left us with. We welcome the new Trustee, Mr. Abul Hasan, Director of the Afro-Asian Book Council, Delhi, who had been a friend and colleague of Asanga Machwe for many years. Dr. G. S Yonzone, who supported ITTM as a Trustee since its registration in December 1995 left us in July 1997 due to his other preoccupation . All his contributions are gratefully acknowledged by the Trust. His resignation will be effective from the date of appointment of his successor.
Looking forward to more moments of creative writing and research for the promotion of traditional healing arts, and to your contributions, critics, comments and shared work.
